About the EMN
About Église Maison des Nations (EMN)
Église Maison des Nations is deeply rooted in prayer, spiritual formation, and the manifest presence of God. Its community life is driven by a passion to build up the Body of Christ, proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, and advance the Kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
At the beginning of 2010, a small group of believers, members of Ottawa All Nations Church (ANC), began gathering in homes in Gatineau. In February 2019, Église des Nations de Gatineau officially opened its doors to the public for community worship services and gatherings open to all.
In 2025, Église des Nations became Église Maison des Nations (EMN). EMN remains deeply anchored in prayer, spiritual formation, and the manifestation of God’s presence. Its community life continues to be animated by a passion to build up the Body of Christ, proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, and advance the Kingdom of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Declaration of Faith
God
We believe in one eternal God, the Creator of all things, existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—one in essence, distinct in personhood, perfect in power, in love, and in glory.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in glory to gather His own and establish His eternal reign.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is powerfully at work today: He convicts of sin, regenerates hearts, strengthens, guides, and equips believers with His spiritual gifts to build up the Body of Christ. Every believer is promised the power of the Holy Spirit, often accompanied by signs such as prophesying and speaking in tongues. This baptism in the Spirit equips believers for bold witness and for a life of holiness, love, and service. Every believer is called to remain continually filled with the Holy Spirit.
The Word of God
We believe that the Bible, made up of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is our rule of faith and conduct, and remains the source of truth for the believer’s life.
Humanity and Salvation
We believe that all people have sinned and are separated from God. Sin deprives us of the glory of God and leads to spiritual death. But God, in His love, offered redemption and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Salvation is the free gift of God, received by faith in Jesus Christ alone. It brings forgiveness, new birth, and adoption into the family of God.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe that baptism by immersion is an act of obedience and a public testimony of our faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing our union with Him in His death and resurrection. In sharing the bread and the cup, we remember the sacrifice of the Lord, proclaim His death, and affirm our hope in His glorious return.
The Living and Active God
We believe that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He continues to work by His power: He heals, delivers, restores, and still performs miracles among His people.
The Church
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of believers from every nation and culture. It is called to worship God, make disciples, proclaim the Gospel, and manifest the Kingdom of God on earth. We declare the Good News of Jesus Christ to all nations in the power of the Holy Spirit, with compassion, faith, and faithfulness.
The Kingdom of God
We believe that the Kingdom of God, proclaimed by Jesus, is manifested even now through the power of the Holy Spirit, and that it will be fully established at the glorious return of our Lord.
Spiritual Warfare
We believe in the real existence of Satan, the enemy of God and humanity, the ruler of the powers of darkness. Although he is active in the world to deceive, accuse, and destroy, he was defeated at the cross through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Believers have authority over him in the name of Jesus.
Marriage and Holiness
We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God, between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His Church. God calls every believer, married or single, to live in purity and holiness in accordance with His Word.
The Return of Christ
We believe in the visible and glorious return of Jesus Christ, in the resurrection of believers, in the judgment of the living and the dead, and in the final establishment of His eternal Kingdom of justice, peace, and glory.
Vision
Église Maison des Nations is a family founded on Jesus Christ, a place where everyone can find a spiritual home.
We are a house open to the nations, a resource center where believers are equipped, strengthened, and sent out to fully live out their calling.
Transformed by the love of Jesus, we carry His light and His truth into every home, every street, every community, and every sphere of society—so that our cities and the nations may be transformed in the image of Christ.
